Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Full-time or Part-time Dietitian / Dietitian Technician to join our skilled nursing team. This role offers an opportunity to provide vital nutritional care across various patient populations, including those in acute care, long-term care, and geriatrics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dietetics and nutrition, with the ability to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and deliver personalized nutritional interventions. This position emphasizes flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through expert dietary management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutritional assessments and MDS Section K documentation
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans
- Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings
- Complete weight reviews, wound nutrition assessments, and nutrition risk evaluations
- Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Assist with menu review and quality assurance tasks
- Provide coverage during staff vacations, leave, or high-volume needs
Requirements
For Registered Dietitian (RD):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
- Active RD credential through CDR
- Current state licensure (if applicable)
For Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) or Nutrition Technician:
- Associate degree in Dietetics or related field
- Active DTR credential preferred (or equivalent experience in long-term care)
Both roles:
- Prior long-term care or clinical experience preferred
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Reliable and flexible availability
