We are seeking a highly analytical, safety-conscious, and results-driven Production Engineer to join our Clean Energy team. This role is responsible for overseeing, troubleshooting, and optimizing our gasification process from fuel selection to emissions monitoring. The successful candidate will combine engineering expertise with strong mechanical aptitude to maximize plant throughput, improve yields, and reduce downtime. Additionally, this position provides direct leadership and technical training to plant operators, ensuring safe and efficient operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Evaluate incoming raw materials based on chemical composition, physical dimensions, and process compatibility. Optimize operations from a mechanical, chemical, and process standpoint.
  • Yield & Throughput Management: Maximize production yields from various fuel sources (raw material ratios), maximize plant throughput, and optimize total equipment utilization.
  • Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: Track process failures and translate empirical results into action items to minimize process downtime. Troubleshoot, resolve, and repair equipment not operating at peak efficiency. Present innovative continuous improvement ideas.
  • Production Planning: Plan for current and future production requirements, manage the scheduling and timing of production, and systematically check progress against operational goals.
  • Leadership & Operator Development: Supervise, organize, and allocate personnel within the Clean Energy Division. Enhance the technical development of operators by providing continuous leadership and hands-on training.
  • Operations & Lab Oversight: Learn to operate the comprehensive gasification process and actively fill in for Junior and Senior Operator positions when necessary to maintain a productive schedule. Oversee both internal and contract laboratory analyses.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a safe work environment where safety and environmental concerns receive constant, rigorous attention. Ensure excellent workplace housekeeping standards are met at all times.
