SUMMARYÂ
In a manufacturing environment, Operator will be creating punch and form parts using various pieces of machinery.Â
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSÂ
ď‚· Set-up, adjust, and operate hydraulic and mechanical punch press equipment to blank, punch and form parts.Â
ď‚· Adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper angle and radii.Â
ď‚· Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates.Â
ď‚· Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges.Â
ď‚· Sorting and package parts per work instructionsÂ
ď‚· Verify quantity & quality of material.Â
ď‚· Moves raw material to and from production areas as necessary.Â
ď‚· Train less experienced press operators in safe and effective setup and operation techniquesÂ
ď‚· Organize work efficientlyÂ
ď‚· Work with others as part of a team which includes giving and receiving feedback, assisting others in completion of tasks, possess interpersonal, listening and participation skills.Â
ď‚· Make accurate transactions in computer system as requiredÂ

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES and / or EXPERIENCEÂ
ď‚· High School Diploma / GEDÂ
ď‚· Technical Training or College a plusÂ
ď‚· One year minimum experience in press operationÂ
ď‚· Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering work instructionsÂ
ď‚· Mechanical ability, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to fabricate, repair various parts or tools using drawings and instructionsÂ
ď‚· Practical knowledge and application of precision measuring instrumentsÂ
ď‚· Possess a good work ethic including following direction and reliability to perform job with limited supervisionÂ
ď‚· Excellent attendance recordÂ
ď‚· Must be literate (able to read & write English) and do basic arithmeticÂ
  Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedlyÂ
ď‚· Strong attention to detail 2 / 2Â
LANGUAGE SKILLSÂ
ď‚· Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, common business documents, and industry publications.Â
ď‚· Ability to respond effectively to inquires or complaints from manufacturing personnel. Ability to effectively present information to management, customers, vendors and employees.Â

ď‚· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences.Â
ď‚· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportional to practical situations.Â

ď‚· Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)Â

PHYSICAL DEMANDSÂ
ď‚· While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; sit, talk and hear, stand, use hands; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. Physical requirements are the ability to lift up to 25 pounds continuously, 50 pounds occasionally, or up to 100 pounds, with assistance.Â
COMPUTER SKILLSÂ
