About the Opportunity

SchoolHouse Staffing is partnering with a school district to hire a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is essential to supporting students' communication, language, and social development through direct therapy, assessment, and collaboration with teachers, families, and the broader IEP team.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment and Evaluation

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine eligibility for services
  • Interpret assessment data to develop individualized therapy goals and IEP recommendations

Direct Therapy and Intervention

  • Provide individual and group speech-language therapy across articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs
  • Implement AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) strategies for students who require them

IEP and Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEP goals related to speech and language
  • Participate in IEP meetings and ensure services align with state and federal special education requirements

Consultation and Collaboration

  • Partner with teachers, para-professionals, and support staff to reinforce communication strategies across the school day
  • Consult with parents/caregivers on carryover strategies and progress updates

Caseload and Documentation

  • Manage a caseload in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and progress notes

Professional Development

  • Stay current with best practices, therapy techniques, and evidence-based interventions in speech-language pathology
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning relevant to school-based practice

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or Communication Sciences and Disorders)
  • Valid Arizona State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) through ASHA preferred
  • Clinical Fellows (CFY) welcome to apply, with supervision provided
  • Experience providing therapy services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Working Conditions
