As a Split Shift Childcare Teacher, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive. From leading activities to building meaningful relationships, you’ll play an important role in shaping each child’s day. Full and part-time opportunities available.  Full-time role includes access to our benefits program and a free family membership to the Countryside YMCA.  Part-time role includes a complimentary individual membership to the Countryside YMCA plus program discounts.  What You’ll Do Help plan and lead fun, developmentally appropriate activities in a classroom setting Create a safe, welcoming environment for all children Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff Maintain accurate attendance and child records Follow YMCA policies, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services requirements, Step Up to Quality standards, and the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines Respond appropriately in emergency situations to ensure safety at all times Help maintain classroom supplies, equipment, and organization Model respect for others and YMCA property   What We’re Looking For A team player who communicates openly and positively As strong commitment to child abuse prevention  Someone who enjoys working with children and can build strong, supportive relationships Ability to guide behavior through positive reinforcement and redirection A role model who demonstrates caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility every day QualificationsQualifications High School Diploma or equivalent CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days) Ability to pass a criminal background check   Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods, bend frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs Work in an environment where exposure to common illnesses may occur   Why You’ll Love Working at the Y Make a real difference in kids’ lives every day Be part of a supportive, mission-driven team Enjoy a fun, active work environment Complimentary YMCA membership (based on eligibility)   Our Commitment to Abuse Prevention Countryside YMCA is committed to providing a safe environment for all children and vulnerable individuals in our care.
