Job Summary: Apprentice Technicians are in charge of vehicle maintenance and small repairs. Job shadow a certified technician to learn more advanced skills. They should be able to read, write, and communicate problem solving ideas to be successful in this position.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Trouble shooting/decision making: Determining Causes of operating errors and deciding how to fix the problem.
- Reading comprehension: understanding written documents concerning work related tasks.
- Writing: communicating effectively with co-workers through proper grammatical and spelling.
- Communication: effectively communicating with the team to fix each customer’s needs in a timely manner.
- Give recommendations based on what the customer needs.
- Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle, especially if it changes.
- Assure that vehicles get fixed and returned clean, undamaged, and without changes to the comfort, convenience features, or audio system settings.
- Thorough, legible 120-point inspection.
