Job DetailsJob Location: Georgeson Hospice House - Naples, FL 34105Salary Range: $18.25 - $21.25 HourlyJob Summary: Cleans patient rooms, baths, offices, halls, kitchen and other areas by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Washes beds and mattresses, and remakes beds after patient discharges. Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition. Distributes laundered articles and linens. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, blinds and windows. Dusts furniture and medical equipment in the rooms. Polishes metalwork in addition to all stainless steel. Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork and celling vents. Washes window sills, door jams and door panels. Empties and clean wastebaskets, Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Disposes of Bio-Waste and sharps containers in the appropriate biohazard trash area. Set up Standard procedures for housekeeping cart. Always follow proper housekeeping and cooking procedures and be in compliance with regulations at all times.. Cover for cook on days off and Morning meal when needed. QualificationsEducation and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Computer skills including database software and general knowledge of e-mail/Outlook. Language Skills: Communication skills of reading, writing, and speaking in English. Mathematical Skills: Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages/fractions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Florida driver's license, if applicable. All food service employees must complete food safety training from an approved provider. The Food Handlers Card is valid for 3 years and must be obtained within 60 days of hire. (Section 509.049, Florida Statutes) Must have or obtain the ServSafe Food Managers Certification within 90 days.
