POSITION SUMMARY

The Paralegal I is responsible for the tracking of client-related agreements and deliverables. Candidate will also assist with the review of marketing and advertising materials.  Acts as a liaison for the Corporate Legal Department with other departments.

DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking key client transactions and servicing agreements.

  • Coordinate the execution and delivery of legal documents, as well as the collection of signature pages from clients and the delivery of such to all parties. 

  • Assist with review of marketing materials to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines.

  • Coordinate with Marketing to provide timely feedback on marketing campaigns.

  • Perform ad hoc legal research as required on federal and state laws/regulations, and any other matters as requested.

  • Draft organizational documents such as bylaws and corporate resolutions.

  • Act as a liaison for Corporate Legal and other departments.

  • Assist with maintaining contract databases and other legal tracking systems.

  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies from an accredited college or university and/or certification as a paralegal preferred.
  • 1+ years’ paralegal experience with financial services or mortgages servicing.
  • Familiarity with federal and state advertising and marketing law applicable to financial services.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Must have strong analytical skills; strong organizational skills with attention to detail; strong communication; strong computer skills and strong research skills. Candidate should be familiar with legal redlines and Microsoft systems.
  • Must be effective in multi-tasking and be goal oriented.
  • Must be able to work on a team or independently with minimal supervision.
