YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing and completing bid/submittal documents and cost estimatesforelectricalconstructionprojects.TheSeniorEstimatoristheLeadEstimatorforprojectsand works with other Estimators, suppliers, and customers to complete the estimate.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Prepareestimatefromquantitytake-offonprojectandcompleteestimatetocomputerprintout.

Identifypartsofprojectthatmaybekeytomakingacompetitiveestimate.

Reviewproposalspecifications,drawings,andattendpre-bidmeetingstodeterminescopeofwork and required contents of estimate.

Evaluateareasforpotentialvalueengineeringcostsavings.

Provideleadershiptopersonnelpreparingdisciplinesubestimatesforassignedbids.

Ensureallworkingdocumentsanddataaremaintainedtoback-upestimatefigures.

Developlaborproductivityand(installationunitcostswhere applicable)basedonprojectedsite conditions and historical data.

Preparedetailedlistingofmaterialandequipmentitemsfortheestimateandtoobtainquotes.

Identifyqualifiedsuppliers/subcontractorsandberesponsibleforsolicitingquotes.Reviewquotesfor completeness and conformance with plans and specs.

Responsibleforthetimelycompletionofallclient-requireddocuments.

Draftscope/proposallettersforbidandnegotiatedprojects.

Priortotheissuingoftheformalbidpackage,providetheChiefEstimator withadetailedreviewof scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the estimated bid package.

After the successful bid at project turnover, meet with the Project Management departments to fullyexplainjobscope,potentialareasofattentionandotheraspectsforthesuccessfultransitionof the project.

Maintainfilesofallworkingdocumentstoback-upestimatefiguresandupdatetheRosendin approved estimating program.

WORKINGCONDITIONS:
