JOB TITLE: Community Liaison

REPORTS TO: Director of Business Development

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Community Liaison is responsible for building relationships that help grow the organization and increase community awareness. This role serves as a bridge between GastroMed, LLC. and the community by visiting physician offices and medical centers, participating in community events, supporting marketing efforts, and promoting the organization's services.


The ideal candidate is a professional, outgoing, bilingual individual who enjoys networking, building relationships, and representing GastroMed, LLC. in the community.


QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

 

  • 2-4 year degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Professional appearance and presentation. 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. 
  • Experience in healthcare, marketing, community outreach, or business development is preferred. 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians, medical offices, community partners, and external organizations.
  • Excellent networking skills with the ability to identify opportunities to increase community presence, referrals, and organizational growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to represent the organization professionally.
  • Strong community engagement skills with the ability to participate in events, health fairs, sponsorship activities, and outreach initiatives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms with the ability to support marketing initiatives by capturing content, sharing ideas, and promoting community involvement.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently, manage outreach schedules, and meet established goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and community representatives.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities to promote services and strengthen the organization’s presence.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to follow company policies and procedures.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Visit physician offices, medical centers, and other referral sources to build and maintain relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to grow referrals and strengthen community partnerships.
  • Research and participate in health fairs, community events, sponsorships, and networking opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at community events and outreach activities.
  • Assist with creating social media content by capturing photos, videos, and event highlights.
  • Support the organization's online reputation by encouraging patient reviews and community engagement.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote physicians, services, and locations.
  • Maintain records of outreach activities and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Track outreach activities, referral relationships, community engagement efforts, and growth opportunities to measure effectiveness and support business development goals.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
