BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services.

BR+A is seeking a Technology Systems Designer for our Miami, FL office. This position’s responsibilities include:

Providing Engineering, Design work, and drafting of plans
Implementing approved system concepts from a schematic diagram to floor plans
Sketches, rough layouts to review with project engineer or Project Manager
Reviewing product cut sheets and technical information
Communicating with Project Manager/Project Engineer regarding potential problems
Meeting with vendors to determine spatial requirements for application of the product
Coordinating with other disciplines and the architect
Attending meetings as required, working to submit the required documentation per project deadlines
Attending in-house coordination meetings when appropriate
Developing strategy to meet project schedule
Assisting in development of engineering systems concepts (M/E)
Assisting design team on major design issues
Organizing required technical correspondence, emails and calculations
Performing field work and verification of existing conditions

Required experience and skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
Qualified experience using Autodesk Revit design software
Minimum of 3 years of experience designing Information and Communications Technology systems (Data Networks, cDAS, Nurse Call, Electronic Security, Paging, Wireless, etc.)
