  • Role Overview

    H.I.G. Capital is seeking an experienced Workday Product Owner to lead the strategic management, optimization, and evolution of the firm’s global Workday platform. This individual will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that Workday effectively supports H.I.G.’s growing global workforce and aligns with the firm’s operational and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Workday technology, business process design, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic, fast-paced, and global organization. This position will be based in H.I.G.’s Coral Gables, Florida office.  

     

    Role Responsibilities: 

    •  Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Workday across all functional areas, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Performance, Compensation, Financials, Security and Reporting. 

    • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT leaders to identify business requirements and translate them into system solutions that enhance process efficiency and user experience. 

    • Manage the product roadmap for Workday, including enhancements, integrations, releases, and optimization initiatives. 

    • Lead system configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation for new features, ensuring smooth delivery and alignment with business needs. 

    • Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of Workday initiatives. 

    • Develop and maintain governance and change management processes to support Workday’s continuous improvement and scalability. 

    • Demonstrated success developing Workday strategy, governance frameworks, and long-term roadmaps 

    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide user support, training, and communication as needed. 

    • Stay current on Workday capabilities, releases, and industry best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement. 

    • Manage and develop a team of Workday analysts and functional leads, fostering technical expertise, process ownership, and a customer-focused culture. 

     

    Requirements & Qualifications: 

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 

    • 15 – 20 years of progressive experience managing or administering Workday in a global organization. 

    • Strong understanding of Workday modules (HCM, Financials, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Absence, and Reporting) and integrations. 

    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects from concept through execution with minimal supervision. 

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail. 

    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels. 

    • Proven experience driving system adoption and process improvement within an ERP technology environment. 

    • Workday certifications (HCM, Financials, Reporting, or Integration) required. 

    • Self-directed, organized, and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.
