Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. How you’ll contribute 

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

• Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
• Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
• Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
• Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
• Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
• Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
• Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
• Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
• Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should be graduates of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program and have a current state LPN/LVN license. Additional requirements include:

• CPR/BLS Certification

• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire

• Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Dependent Adult and Child

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months of Medical/Surgical experience
