Description of Duties:   (Route includes Crisp & Dooly County Area)

Under the close to general supervision, transports passengers and /or mail and materials to assigned geographical area.  Ensures Safety of vehicle and passengers while transporting clients to and from the center and local appointments during the day. Assist clients boarding and departing the van and securing seatbelts as needed. Must be very familiar with routine maintenance of vehicles including timely scheduling of oil changes, tire rotation, and routine services to maintain safe operation of agency vehicles. Reports all accidents, incidents and or breakdowns involving vehicles while in use.  Completes and submits appropriate documentation for area of assignment. Must be able to complete computer and tablet operations including downloading manifests, logging trips, documenting and submitting billing for transportation services. Maintain a consistent, high-quality customer-focused orientation when conducting business and providing services to customers, the general public or other external customers. Complete and or attend all mandated Inservice education in a timely manner.  Assist with minor office duties.  Middle Flint Health & Wellness Motor Vehicle Operator will provide service to the following counties: Crisp & Dooly. Transporting individuals served is a requirement.  


Minimum Qualifications: Valid unrestricted Georgia Driver’s License, CPR and First Aid Certification. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or behavioral needs. Basic computer knowledge and skills. Must be dependable.

Preferred Qualifications:  One to two years of experience with providing transportation for individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders on (15) passenger van.
