Overview:

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Six Flags Darien Lake, you will be responsible for providing immediate medical assistance to guests and employees in the event of an emergency. You will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure the safety and well-being of all park visitors while maintaining a fun and enjoyable environment.


Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the park, providing appropriate care and treatment.
  • Assess patients' conditions and determine the necessary course of action, including first aid, CPR, and advanced life support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with park management, security, and local emergency services to coordinate care and transportation of patients.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, treatments provided, and any follow-up actions taken.
  • Educate guests and staff on safety protocols and first aid procedures as needed.
  • Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are stocked, maintained, and in good working order.
  • Participate in regular training and drills to stay current with emergency response techniques and park policies.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as park policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Current EMT certification (National Registry or state certification).
  • CPR and First Aid certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an emergency medical setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and assist in patient transport as needed.
