Position: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner 

Type: Salary, Full-Time, Exempt 

Compensation: Up to $200k (base salary + performance bonus)

Job Summary:
 

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team and provide amazing client care to adults struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations for new clients (via telehealth or in-person) upon admission, including full psychiatric assessment, health history, and physical evaluation to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. 
  • Perform follow-up appointments (telehealth and in-person) for existing clients, including diagnosis updates, medication refills and adjustments, and ongoing care consultation to monitor progress and optimize treatment. 
  • Deliver billable psychiatric services, which may include but are not limited to: medication management and observation, psychiatric diagnosis, comprehensive medical/mental health assessments, treatment planning, and coordination of care. 
  • Prescribe, monitor, and manage (psychotropic) medications in accordance with evidence-based practices and regulatory guidelines. 
  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to interdisciplinary team members (e.g., therapists, primary care providers, case managers) to ensure integrated, holistic client care. 
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all legal, ethical, and billing standards. 
  • Provide crisis intervention and urgent consultation as needed within scope of practice. 

Qualifications: 

  • License/Credentials: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) (required); Valid DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances (required)
  • Experience: 2+ years of behavioral healthcare experience providing psychiatric care, including telehealth services (preferred) 
  • Additional: 
    • Valid CA Driver's License (required) 
    • Current Health Screen / Physical (required) 
    • TB Test Clearance (required)
