Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on production machinery and equipment
• Thoroughly clean machines and machine components, removing and reinstalling parts as necessary
• Oil and lubricate moving machine parts to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs on production equipment
• Identify the root cause of unexpected equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions
• Repair machinery quickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime
• Make modifications and improvements to equipment to enhance performance and reliability
• Inspect equipment and record damaged, worn, or broken parts for repair or replacement
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare documentation of all work performed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked maintenance shop, including tools, parts, and supplies
• Follow all company safety procedures and preventive maintenance schedules

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
• Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders is a plus
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
• Willingness to work overtime or emergency maintenance when required
