Job Title:NeurologistÂ
Job Overview:Â Â
The neurologistprovides non-surgical specialty carefor disorders of the brain and peripheral nerves. He/she performs physical examinations, reviews medical histories, prescribes medications and ordersvarious ancillary tests to diagnose and treat patients.  Â
Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Â
Analyze patient medical historiesÂ
Consult with patients’ primary care physicians to coordinate careÂ
Order and interpret EEG, laboratory, imagingand other diagnostic testsÂ
Determine a diagnosis and plan of care for each patientÂ
Partner with other members of the care team (e.g., nurse, medical assistant, social worker)Â Â
Complete all EHR documentation and administrative tasks in a timely mannerÂ
Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g., lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)Â
MD or DO degreeÂ
Completion of an ACGME-approved residency in neurologyÂ
Board certified or board eligible in neurologyÂ
Valid DEA registration and New York medical licenseÂ
BLS certificationÂ
Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)Â
2+ years of post-residencyexperienceÂ
Active Medicare and NYS Medicaid registrationÂ
Familiarity with the NextGen EHRÂ
Experience with the I/DD patient populationÂ
Compensation:Â Â Â Â Â
$180.00-200.00/hr.    Â
