POSITION PURPOSE

To provide oversight and managerial duties for the Bank’s Credit Monitoring function. 



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Serve as the primary manager for the Credit Monitoring function
  • Oversee all Credit Monitoring staff and support their training and growth while adhering to Bank policies and procedures
  • Includes oversight and ownership of all Credit Monitoring related policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with lending teams and lending support functions to ensure Credit Monitoring’s goals and objectives are met. 
  • Primary point of contact for Credit Monitoring related software vendor and all associated vendor management tasks
  • Primary point of contact for examiner and audit related inquiries/exams.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for leading and managing a team of credit monitoring analysts by means of training, mentoring, creating personal development plans, and providing performance feedback and guidance.
  • Sets a standard of performance and professionalism for all staff and leads via example.



QUALIFICATIONS


Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.


Required Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of Bank services and products. 

Understanding of core loan systems, loan origination systems and/or tickler/covenant softwares.

Understanding of borrowing bases, financial covenant calculations, and financial statement ticklers and related procedures.

Understanding of relevant rules and regulations as set forth by financial regulators


Experience Required: Minimum of ten years of related experience in a financial institution.


Skills/Abilities: Excellent organizational skills

Strong leadership skills

Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others

Attention to detail


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION


Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.


Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.


Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.


Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.


Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)


WORKING CONDITIONS

None:  No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office).


MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION


Reasoning Ability:  Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization. 

Able to interpret various instructions.


Mathematics Ability: Ability to compute multiple types of financial ratios and covenant calculations

Able to perform very simple algebra.


Language Ability: Ability to read a variety of periodicals, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias. 

Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar. 

Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis, correct pronunciation (or sign equivalent), and variation in word order using present, perfect, and future tenses.



Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
40 hours per week
