Responsibilities
- Assist in pipe preparation post-machine repairs, ensuring a smooth transition to shipping.
- Clean and phosphate connections to meet quality standards.
- Apply thread compound to drill pipe connections.
- Install and secure connection protectors, ensuring they are properly fitted.
- Inspect pipes for any defects or issues, reporting and addressing them promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the repair team to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents.
- Keep records and documentation of pipe preparation activities.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks to meet shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of pipe preparation and maintenance practices is an asset.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail to identify and address potential issues.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.
- Willingness to undergo training for specific tasks and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet operational demands.
