Job Summary:

Audubon Metals LLC is accepting applications for a full-time Parts Room Attendant. The Parts Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, issuing and receiving parts and supplies, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support maintenance and production operations. This position helps minimize equipment downtime through effective inventory control and excellent customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Issue parts and tools to maintenance and production personnel and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate personnel when stock replenishment is required.
  • Inspect safety equipment including fire extinguishers, SCBA, fire cabinet, etc.
  • Ensure PPE is stocked throughout the plant
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain the parts room in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  • Label and store materials according to established procedures.
  • Process purchase requisitions and assist with ordering parts as needed.
  • Research part numbers and identify equivalent or replacement components.
  • Maintain computerized inventory management systems and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries, returns, and discrepancies.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Higher
    • Previous experience in a similar setting is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, or obtain certification.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
