Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrical Controls Engineering Manager leads a high-performing team by setting clear goals, fostering accountability, and aligning resources to strategic objectives. This role partners cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement, ensure adherence to corporate processes, and deliver innovative solutions. Through inclusive leadership, technical guidance, and a hands-on approach, the manager cultivates a collaborative environment that supports employee development, safety, and operational excellence.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set clear goals and objectives, assess progress, and instill a performance-oriented culture with a focus on accountability

Partner with operations leadership, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain to lead and manage change

Deploy a strategy that builds, retains, and engages all employees through inclusion and teamwork, and provides a safe and special place to work

Aligns resources to strategic goals and objectives

Ensure our teams and working partners adhere to corporate processes and utilize project management toolkits

Work with business partners and leverage data to determine improvement opportunities

Provide resource allocation guidance for the team through analysis of current and future state workload, skill, experience, and qualifications

Provide technical direction and expertise to guide and support Electrical Engineering Technician team on troubleshooting calls and continuous improvement projects

Acquire the appropriate people, technology, equipment, and financial resources necessary to meet internal and external customer expectations

Provide coaching, information, ideas, feedback, and encouragement to employees and managers to promote the growth and development of the engineering team

Be highly visible within the value stream to create a safe environment for collaboration and participation

Promote a hands-on, high-involvement approach to problem solving


QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree in engineering, technology, or management

2-5 years of experience in a technical leadership role (engineering, quality, etc.)

Strong technical experience in Automation and Controls Engineering (PLC, Motion, Servo, Robotics, etc.)

Strong coaching and people development skills

Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance, budgeting, accounting

Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups

Able to develop and maintain a respectful and safe work environment

Pay Range:

$108,941.00 - $168,859.00

**PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
