In this role, youāll lead standards efforts, translate technical information into practical applications, and provide dependable support for engineering, maintenance, commissioning, and constructionāhelping ensure our substation assets remain safe, cost effective, and reliable for the communities we serve.Essential Responsibilities:

Advance our asset performance.Ā Evaluate vendors and factory qualifications, partner with Asset Management and Supply Chain, and support pilots that introduceĀ new technologiesĀ andĀ provideĀ longĀ term value.Ā
Champion continuous improvement.Ā IdentifyĀ process enhancements across engineering, procurement, and construction to boost quality, efficiency, and consistency.Ā
Lead with stewardship and accountability.Ā TakeĀ pride in the assets assigned to you by actively guiding their performance, condition, and lifecycle.Ā
WhatĀ youāllĀ bringĀ
Education:Ā Bachelorās degree in Engineering;Ā BSEEĀ stronglyĀ preferred.Ā
Licensure:Ā Wisconsin and/or MichiganĀ PE preferred.Ā
Experience:Ā 5+ years in substation design, equipment specification, and standards development; field/maintenance/commissioning/construction support experience is a plus.Ā
Technical depth:Ā Foundational knowledge in one or more areas of substation physical or electrical designāsuch as grounding, equipment application, control house layouts, or constructability/maintainabilityāand/or familiarity with major substation equipment (e.g., circuit breakers, disconnect switches, powerĀ transformers, instrument transformers, capacitors/reactors, auxiliary systems). Candidates are not expected to know all areas, but strength in several is valuable.Ā
Standards savvy:Ā Familiarity with industry standards (e.g.,Ā IEEE, NESC, NERC) and utility engineering practices; adept at documentation, calculations, drafting review, and standardization.Ā

The targeted base pay for this position is $119,500 to $139,400 annually.*⯠Base pay is one component of our comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual incentive bonus, employer-sponsored pension plan, 401(k) match, HSA contribution, life & disability insurance, health care benefits, generous time off plans, flexible work arrangements, and muchĀ more.āÆĀ
