Position Overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst will collaborate with IT, Product teams, Sales, and Operations to provide valuable business insights by accounting for operational activities. This role has primary ownership of customer pricing documentation, margin models, and pricing accuracy. The Financial Analyst will proactively identify margin risks, pricing inconsistencies, and process improvements to protect profitability and support strategic growth. This is a non-supervisory position.


Responsibilities

Pricing:

• Own the creation, maintenance, and governance of all customer-facing pricing documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and margin compliance.

• Ensure current products are activated in CRM and available for sales quoting.

• Build, maintain, and validate detailed margin models incorporating costs, rebates, freight, and volume assumptions

• Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and FP&A to ensure pricing aligns with cost structures and margin targets

• Proactively identify pricing anomalies, margin erosion, and data inconsistencies; recommend corrective actions


Analyst:

• Utilize statistical tools to analyze sales data, historical buying trends, and specific customer contracts.

• Advanced experience building and maintaining margin and profitability models (standard cost, contribution margin, net margin)

• Prepare detailed reports focused on fulfillment rates of stock containers, identify discrepancies, and analyze data to understand trends.

• Ability to translate complex analyses into clear pricing recommendations

• Analyze customer data to determine areas of profitability and recommend strategies to improve margins.

• Work with outside sales teams to analyze historical orders and ensure competitive, margin-focused pricing.

• Collaborate with Senior FP&A for sales reporting

• Prepare bi-weekly Sales Reports and Open Order reporting

• Calculate monthly International Strategic Account rebate 

• Cost of Warranty/Quality calculation and reporting 


Requirements

Education:

• Minimum 4-year degree in Accounting, Business, Analytics, or Finance


Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of analytical and pricing experience


Other Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PowerPivot, pivot tables, Vlookup, VBA, Macros, etc.)

• Clear problem solving and investigative skills

• Demonstrated track record of producing error-free financial or pricing documentation in high-volume or high-complexity environments

• Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner

• Strong system skills – experience with SAP, BW, Microsoft CRM, and Adaptive Insights preferred

• Confidential, understands the ethical standards of accounting

• Highly proactive self-starter who identifies issues and opportunities without being prompted

• Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking questions to protect margin integrity


Skills:

Computer Skills:

• SAP, BW, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adaptive Insights, Microsoft CRM, Concur or other systems as necessary

Strong Analytical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.


Communication:

• Develop relationships throughout organization

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Clearly communicate analysis and recommendations 

• Confidence in presenting ideas and recommendations


Organization:

• Ability to accurately manage high degree of detail

• Strong organization skills
