This role ensures seamless collaboration across the EVO team to address operational issues and technical concerns related to the fleet, facility, and specific project locations as dictated by ongoing company operations. The Shop Electrical Technician actively communicates and coordinates technical issues, project updates, and repair concerns with all relevant EVO team members to ensure operational alignment across every endeavor. This position involves the detailed review of all planned electrical work, maintenance, and repairs to ensure that every rebuild and new equipment project maintains strict compliance with both safety regulations and industry standards. Oversight includes adhering to safety codes such as OSHA, MSHA, NIOSH, and DOT, while also ensuring all work meets applicable electrical codes including NEC, CSA, IEEE Standards, and NETA. Through this technical oversight, the technician ensures that all equipment builds are high-quality and meet both internal operational requirements and external regulatory mandates.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")   Quality Assurance and Quality Control of all projects performed at any EVO facility. Creation of forms documentation to assist with the accomplishment a high level of accuracy and integrity. Performs all maintenance checks associated with frac equipment and documents all processes and findings within the EVO MMS system. Maintain current positive relationship with all vendors and  shop personnel partnering with EVO to repair, refurbish and perform maintenance EVO equipment. Ensure third party vendors and third party electrical support remain on EVO timeline with equipment, product delivery to support EVO operations. Maintain a standard of General and Electrical Safety with each project manage, implement and promote a high standard of Safety within our EVO organization. Review of current equipment designs and work towards identifying and implementing any necessary changes for increased performance and less downtime. Perform daily status updates to shop supervision. Red Line Drawings/Drawing/Documentation changes on all refurbished or repaired equipment. (Drawings, schematics, BOMS’s etc) Engaged on all meetings associated with repairs, refurbishment and safety management. Provide Test Stand and Field support where needed. Support EVO Operations and Asset Integrity Team with complications or ENPT in the field and/or EVO location projects. Attend any training provided by EVO or required to accel in the position. Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity. QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:   Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s). Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 years U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy. Daily in-person, predictable attendance required. Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in any combination depending on job demands. The work schedule can also require extended out-of-town assignments for two to three weeks at a time.     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL   High School Diploma or GED is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree. Previous oilfield experience is preferred. Ability to operate testing equipment (Megger, Multimeter/Process Meter, Amp probe, High Pot, Test Unit, etc.) Must have minimum 3 years field experience in electrical, VFD, 24 Volt Controls and Communication Protocol Experience, Breaker Relay Protection Experience and Motor Control Experience.     QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES   Ability to make appropriate judgment calls, if unsure contact shop supervision for guidance Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions. Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions.     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Shop Electrical Technician is frequently required to walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, crawl, lift, balance, stoop, handle materials, and squat/kneel. The Shop Electrical Technician must regularly lift and move up to forty-nine (49) pounds independently , and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with a team-lift. The Shop Electrical Technician works indoors/outdoors, frequently during inclement weather, while performing labor intensive duties. The work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials and operating conditions. Given these conditions, Shop Electrical Technicians  are required to wear company mandated personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Additionally, when not traveling on a job assignment, the Shop Electrical Technician  will work in a warehouse/shop environment that makes them susceptible to common hazards such as physical strain, moving machinery, loading, unloading, falling objects, slips, trips, and falls.
