How You Will Support the Team:

Responsible for accounting duties for an FDIC-insured industrial bank, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements and public reporting in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules.
  • Prepare general ledger entries, reconcile subledger files and perform payment transfers according to prescribed requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements while assisting in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Produce reports for management and the board of directors on the approved annual reporting schedule and as requested.
  • Assist the Controller with financial decisions by monitoring accounting transactions and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Financial Reporting Manager with the preparation of public reports and support schedules.
  • Help achieve budget objectives by analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Perform all other accounting duties as required.

 

You would be a GREAT fit with these skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and hard working. Must be able to handle multiple functions simultaneously and operate in a high-pressure environment.
  • Highly skilled with financial and numeric data.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general ledger software, preferably NetSuite.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in key regulatory financial areas.

  

 Preferred Level of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required, master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of financial accounting experience is required.
  • 2-3 years of related banking or finance work is preferred.

  • Cubicle or home office with minimal exposure to distractions or environmental hazards.
