SPECIALIST

West Central Community Action is now seeking a Family Development Specialist for our FaDSS Program.

Family Development Specialists work to provide a comprehensive system of support that empowers and nurtures families towards self-sufficiency while maintaining and building strong relationships.

This Full-Time, 40 hours per week & year-round position that will be based in Council Bluffs, Iowa, This position will be required to work with clients within our 10 county coverage area.

Position Requirements

• Specialists are required to conduct meetings with program participants within the participant's home.
• Ideal candidate should be organized and proficient in the ability to interpret rules and regulations as they pertain to programs that are directed at low-income families.
• Strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of web based programs required.
• Bachelor of Arts or Science in Social Work or Human Services preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma Required
• FaDSS Specialists are required to complete the Family Development Specialist certification training.
• Regular Travel within 10 county area is required.
• Current and valid Driver's license and current valid auto liability required
