Job DetailsLevel: SeniorJob Location: Devos Blum Family YMCA - Boynton Beach, FL 33436Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 SalaryThe Branch Executive Director provides strategic and operational leadership for an assigned YMCA branch, ensuring excellence in member experience, program quality, financial performance, community impact, and staff development. Reporting to the President & CEO, this leader is responsible for the overall management of branch operations, including membership growth, program development, fundraising, fiscal stewardship, board and volunteer engagement, and community partnerships. The Executive Director advances the YMCA's mission through Cause-Driven Leadership and a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Branch Leadership & Operations Provide overall leadership and management of day-to-day branch operations. Ensure high-quality, safe, and mission-driven programs, services, and facilities. Oversee membership engagement, retention, and growth through exceptional customer service and innovative programming. Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, risk management standards, and operational procedures. 2. Financial Management Develop, manage, and achieve annual operating and capital budgets. Monitor financial performance through forecasting, variance analysis, expense management, and revenue growth strategies. Ensure sound financial controls and compliance with Association accounting policies. Manage reserve accounts and long-term financial planning. 3. Fundraising & Community Engagement Lead the branch's Annual Giving Campaign and other fundraising initiatives to meet financial development goals. Cultivate relationships with donors, community leaders, businesses, foundations, and government partners. Represent the YMCA throughout the community while strengthening strategic partnerships and public awareness.     4. Staff & Volunteer Leadership Recruit, develop, supervise, and retain high-performing staff and volunteers. Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture focused on accountability, professional development, and organizational excellence. Conduct performance evaluations, succession planning, and staff development initiatives. 5. Board Development & Governance Partner with the Branch Board of Managers and its committees to advance strategic priorities. Support board recruitment, orientation, engagement, and committee effectiveness. Provide leadership for strategic planning and annual operational planning. 6. Program & Membership Development Lead the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of YMCA programs and services. Drive membership recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies. Expand programs in alignment with community needs and Association priorities. 7. Leadership Priorities Provide exceptional leadership for all branch operations. Achieve financial, membership, and program performance goals. Build strong staff, volunteer, and board leadership. Strengthen community partnerships and philanthropic support. Foster innovation, operational excellence, and an outstanding member experience.       Qualifications  Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Services, Recreation, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred. Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in YMCA, nonprofit, health and wellness, recreation, or comparable business operations. Demonstrated success in financial management, fundraising, strategic planning, staff leadership, and operational management. Proven ability to develop community partnerships and lead volunteer boards. Strong communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills. YMCA Multi-Team Leader Certification preferred or the ability to obtain. Ability to respond to operational emergencies and maintain an on-site leadership presence, including occasional evenings and weekends. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position requires regular on-site leadership in a dynamic facility environment, including offices, wellness areas, aquatics, youth program spaces, and outdoor locations. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, lift up to 50 pounds, and respond to operational needs as required.
