Position Summary

Finetco is seeking a dependable and motivated Millwork Shop Technician to join our team. In this role, you will fabricate custom millwork products, operate a variety of shop equipment and hand tools, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. If you have a background in finish carpentry, enjoy working with wood, and take pride in producing high-quality craftsmanship, we'd love to hear from you.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of lumber species, building materials, and shop or yard operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a millwork shop, lumberyard, warehouse, or construction environment.
  • Basic math skills, including measuring and calculating material quantities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience with finish carpentry or custom woodworking is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate specialty wood millwork products using the correct wood species and dimensions.
  • Produce high-quality work that meets company standards and customer expectations.
  • Follow production schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Operate shop machinery, power equipment, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain lumber and material inventory for easy access and accurate stock control.
  • Track and report material usage and production time for each millwork project.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and machine guards.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and move materials as required for production.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.

Schedule

Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Schedule is subject to change based on customer demand and business needs.
