Position Summery


We are seeking a proactive and experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment while meeting customer order fulfillment and delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate will oversee the shipping team, monitor daily operations, and implement process improvements to optimize workflow, accuracy, and overall performance. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and commitment to operational excellence are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on leadership to warehouse employees to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Coordinate Shipping and Receiving schedules, respond to unplanned downtime, and maximize workforce productivity.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, team collaboration, and proactive problem solving.
  • Ensure customer order fill rate goals are achieved consistently.
  • Manage and direct the Shipping team to meet daily operational targets.
  • Oversee accurate and timely shipping/receiving of finished goods, WIP (work-in-process), raw materials, and waste.
  • Track, trace, and expedite orders and pick labels to maintain on-time deliveries and smooth warehouse flow.
  • Address customer complaints promptly; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Follow up with carriers to ensure OTIF (On-Time In-Full) shipments.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to team members and support performance improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to foster development and strengthen team capabilities.
  • Enforce company policies, monitor attendance, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, DOT regulations, and OSHA requirements; lead safety discussions and training.
  • Partner with the management team to reduce errors, build team skills, and improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Spanish fluency required – must be able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking employees.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in warehouse or logistics supervision (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and shipping/receiving procedures
  • Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements
  • Warehouse Powered Industrial Equipment experience desired or willing to get certified on all equipment.



 

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate walking, standing, and climbing throughout the shift
  • Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of pallets and products
  • Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching (up to 15% of the shift), and reaching
  • Ability to lift and handle objects weighing 30+ pounds on a frequent basis
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, dust, cold, heat, and loud noise
  • Above-average coordination (eye-hand, hand-foot, balance) and physical endurance
