Job DetailsJob Location: Covington - Covington, LA 70433Position Type: Full TimeThe Medical Aesthetician will be responsible for performing a variety of non-invasive aesthetic procedures, assessing patients' skin conditions, and recommending treatments tailored to their needs. This role requires knowledge of advanced skin care technologies, a strong focus on patient care, and the ability to work alongside healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Role and Responsibilities: Perform a variety of medical aesthetic treatments including but not limited to facials, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, and other skin rejuvenation procedures. Assess patients' skin types, conditions, and concerns and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals. Explain treatments, procedures, and skincare routines in an approachable manner. Recommend and educate on medical-grade skincare products and post-treatment care to maximize and maintain results. Collaborate with the clinic’s Surgeons, Nurse Practitioners, and other clinical staff to deliver cohesive, full-service treatment plans. Stay well-versed in all treatments and products offered at WPS, including surgical procedures and injectables, and confidently explain options to patients while promoting services that support their goals. Clearly communicate the benefits, expectations, and pricing of recommended plans to ensure patient understanding. Use the practice's EMR system to document medical history,  patient interactions, and treatment progress with accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Ensure all equipment and treatment areas are sanitized and maintained to meet strict hygiene standards and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Keep informed on the latest aesthetic treatments, trends, products, and technologies in the industry. Collect reviews and before-and-after photos to enhance your portfolio and participate in social media content such as videos, posts, and podcasts to build clientele and promote the practice. Create a welcoming, respectful, and professional environment to ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Requirements Licensed Esthetician through the Louisiana Board of Cosmetology 2-3 years of experience in medical aesthetics practice, preferably in a plastic surgery or dermatology setting. Preferred Education or Experience Additional training or certifications in medical aesthetics (such as laser treatments, injectables, or advanced skin care) is preferred. Physical Requirements: Adhere to strict sanitation protocols, including sterilizing equipment and disinfecting treatment areas to prevent infection. Also required to safely handle sharp objects, such as needles and scalpels, ensuring proper disposal and minimizing the risk of injury or contamination. Working with chemical products like acids, exfoliants, and pre-treatment solutions that may cause skin irritation or sensitivity, requiring the use of gloves, masks, and other PPE. Position requires standing or sitting for long periods of time or moving between treatment rooms. Manual dexterity to perform various skin treatments that may require the use blades/needles or conducting laser treatments.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs Physical demands include but are not limited to standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, manual dexterity, stooping, kneeling, crouching, vision acuity, talking and hearing.
