JOB EMPHASIS AND PURPOSE
The Floor Clerk is responsible for making sure all machine operators have the material they need in order to perform their job. He/she is also responsible for the removal of full boxes from the winding machines and their staging on designated skids.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Monitoring:
- Conduct routine checks of each braider during every shift to ensure optimal performance and adherence to production standards.
- Identify and address potential issues before they impact quality or efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitor production for quality issues and ensure finished products meet established specifications.
- Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address defects or inconsistencies.
Machine Maintenance:
- Perform minor machine repairs and adjustments to maintain continuous operation.
- Escalate major repair needs the maintenance team in a timely manner.
Floor Presence:
- Walk the production floor regularly to provide support, answer questions, and address concerns from machine operators.
- Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and process improvement.
Communication and Documentation:
- Document issues, repairs, and observations clearly and accurately in logs or reports.Â
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless workflow.
Team Support:
- Demonstrate a helpful and collaborative attitude by assisting team members as needed.Â
- Adapt to changing priorities and production needs with flexibility and a positive approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, especially with technical braiding equipment.Â

Skills / Specialized Knowledge / Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform minor machine repairs and adjustments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to document issues and observations in a clear and organized manner.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and workload demands.Â

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working Hours / Environment
- Work hours are 40 hours per week – 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment (Hearing protection may be required).Â
Tools and Equipment
- Tools include but are not limited to scissors, snips, box knife. Appropriate PPE will be assigned as required. This may include safety glasses, gloves, hat or hairnet, hearing protection, etc.Â
