As a Mechanical Engineer II you will support the AP1000 containment vessel design and fabrication activities.

You will report to the Manager of Reactor Vessel and Containment Vessel Design and Analysis for Reactor Component Engineering. This position can be hybrid at a European Westinghouse location or hybrid at the Cranberry Woods, PA facility. We will not provide relocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support work on and be able to interpret ASME design specifications, fabrication specifications, design drawings
  • Work with other departments for gathering data and developing detailed designs/drawings for upgrades and new build projects.
  • Analytical calculations and evaluations using engineering tools and methods
  • Communicate with leads, project managers, customers, and suppliers to coordinate activities associated with assigned work scope
  • Occasionally travel to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or recognized equivalent
  • Understand AP1000 containment vessel design documents like drawings, specifications, and calculation summaries
  • Understanding of fabrication process and experience with supplier interactions

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. We estimate the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon qualifications, to be 69,200 to 86,500 per year.
