Classic Rock Fabrication is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Measure Technician to play an important role in our countertop fabrication and installation process. In this position, you’ll visit customer job sites and create precise digital templates that help ensure every countertop is fabricated and installed correctly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, meeting customers, using technology, and taking pride in getting the details right. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, comfortable following established processes, and committed to providing an exceptional experience from start to finish. What You’ll Do As a Measure Technician, you will: Travel to customer job sites and arrive on time for scheduled appointments. Contact customers approximately one hour before arrival. Operate digital templating equipment and use standard tape measures to verify measurements and ensure accuracy. Build positive relationships with customers while representing the service-focused values of Classic Rock Fabrication. Provide an exceptional customer experience throughout the templating process. Evaluate installation plans and collaborate on necessary adjustments based on job-site conditions and customer requests. Clearly communicate job details with customers, Partner Support Specialists, Programmers, and other team members. Upload scans, photographs, and other required job information to the Company server daily. Maintain and track equipment and supplies to help prevent loss or damage. Maintain an accurate mileage log and promptly report vehicle concerns to the Field Technician Manager/Supervisor. Leave each job site in the same or better condition than you found it. Follow all Company safety procedures and protocols. Perform additional duties as assigned by Management. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position that requires regular physical activity, including stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and handling. Candidates must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds. Because this is a safety-sensitive position, following all established safety procedures and protocols is required. Work Environment Work is primarily performed indoors, with occasional outdoor assignments. Working conditions may vary depending on the customer location and job site. QualificationsEducation & Experience High school diploma or GED required. One to two years of relevant experience preferred, ideally in measurement, construction, fabrication, installation, or a related field. Experience working in a customer-facing or field-based position is a plus. Communication Skills Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, job details, and other work-related information. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and other team members. Ability to document and communicate job-related information accurately. Fluency in English required. Math & Measurement Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Strong understanding of measurements, units, and conversions. Ability to accurately read and use measuring tools. Problem-Solving & Reasoning Skills Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, diagram-based, and schedule-related instructions. Ability to assess job-site conditions, identify potential concerns, and communicate them appropriately. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes and procedures. Licenses & Requirements A valid driver’s license is required. Must be able to safely operate a Company vehicle and travel regularly to customer job sites.
