This is a single-person HR department responsible for payroll, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, workplace investigations, benefits, HR policies and multi-state compliance, and workers’ compensation.
Hands-on ADP Workforce Now (WFN) experience is required.
What You’ll Do:
- Process payroll accurately andtimelyusingADP Workforce Now, including employee changes, deductions, new hires, and terminations.
- Ensure multi-state compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, offers, and pre-employment requirements.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, I-9s, benefits enrollment, and HRIS updates.
- Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers.
- Manage employeerelationsmatters, including performance concerns, corrective action, workplace conflicts,andtime management.
- Conduct and document workplace investigations.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and employee questions.
- Maintain HR policies, employeehandbooks, personnel files, andrequiredemployment documentation.
- Manage leaves of absence and related documentation.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, including reporting, documentation, carrier coordination, and return-to-work follow-up.
- Maintainaccurateemployee information and HR records in ADP Workforce Now.
- Handleadditionalday-to-day HR responsibilities as needed.
You're A Great Fit If You Have:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience.
- ADP Workforce Now (WFN) experiencerequired.
- Payroll processing experiencerequired.
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, workplace investigations, benefits, and workers’ compensation.
- Working knowledge of federal andmulti-state employment laws and HR compliance.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, andmaintainconfidentiality.
- Experience working as a sole HR professional or in a small HR department preferred.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HRcertificationa plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or similar preferred
Systems: Microsoft 365, ADP WFN, HRIS software
