JOB DESCRIPTION:  

  • Provides technical support for AEA assigned systems or platforms to include the modification, maintenance, repair, and upgrade (MRU) of fielded EW systems and related Support Equipment. Test and evaluate AEA and related systems, subsystems, equipment and components both locally and at other test sites and locations.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues/malfunctions using specialized test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Testing and evaluation: Conducting tests and experiments, analyzing data, and documenting findings. Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment
  • Installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying various types of equipment, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Prepare inputs for test plans/Review test plans and procedures.
  • Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment; coordinate test schedules; prepare inputs for test plans; review test plans and procedures; conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing; adjust units under test; analyze test results; and determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
  • Teamwork and communication: Collaborating with engineers, other technicians, and government personnel.
