SAIC is seeking a Technical Trainer and Product Support SME for our Crane, IN location.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Plans, develops, and implements technical product training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. May include military trainers. Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts, and principles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Primary ISEA instructor
  • Assistance developing/updating/reviewing training documents
  • Backup for scheduling/coordinating training
  • Attend necessary meetings
  • Fleet Support POC
  • Assistance with reviewing/providing updates for Tech Manual


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years’ experience; Masters and two (2) years’ experience. Experience in lieu of degree will be accepted-must include a Military background
  • Instructor experience
  • Technical experience or education in technical/engineering field
  • Curriculum development experience
  • Field service or hands-on technical experience
  • Proficient computer skills - MS Office, Adobe needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be willing to travel 25-50%25 of the time or as-needed
  • Interim Secret to start work with the ability to obtain secret clearance
  • US Citizenship

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Basic understanding of RF principals
  • International travel experience
