About the Role

At Ross-Simons, our team brings our legacy of trusted, personalized jewelry service to life every day. In this role, you'll partner with the Store Manager to lead a team of sales associates, deliver a warm and knowledgeable customer experience, and help the store meet its sales and operational goals. You'll be a coach on the floor, a steady hand behind the counter, and a champion of the Ross-Simons standard of craftsmanship and care.

The Assistant Store Manager for the Warwick Retail Store will work full-time on-site. The store is open seven days per week, and this role requires scheduling flexibility to workdays, weekends, holidays, and holiday extended hours, as required. 


What You’ll Do

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Deliver a consultative, relationship-driven selling experience across fine jewelry, watches, and gifts, consistent with the Ross-Simons brand promise.
  • Meet or exceed personal and store sales targets, including protection plan and financing attachment goals.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism, discretion, and a focus on long-term customer loyalty.
  • Support in-store events, trunk shows, and seasonal promotions.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Actively participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training sales associates.
  • Coach associates on selling technique, product knowledge, and customer service standards; provide real-time feedback.
  • Support the Store Manager in conducting performance reviews and goal-setting.
  • Help build associate schedules that balance customer coverage with payroll budget.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager's absence, with full accountability for store operations and staff.

Operations & Merchandising

  • Support inventory control, including receiving, cycle counts, and reconciliation of high-value merchandise.
  • Uphold security and loss-prevention protocols specific to jewelry, including safe procedures, case counts, and repair intake tracking.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and showcase presentation consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Oversee accurate tracking and timely customer communication for repairs and special orders.

Compliance & Administration

  • Uphold company policy on cash handling, returns, and merchandise authentication.
  • Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily operational reporting.


What You Bring

  • 3+ years of retail sales experience, including 1+ years in a supervisory or keyholder role; jewelry or luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of personal sales achievement and ability to coach others toward performance goals.
  • Working knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals, or willingness to complete GIA or equivalent training.
  • Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Availability to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. for stock and inventory handling.
  • Ability to operate safe and vault equipment in accordance with security protocols.
