Our distribution team in Rhode Island is actively seeking a Warehouse Associate to join us immediately. If you're skilled with a forklift, that's a significant advantage!
Position Overview: We offer a swift start within 7 days for a dedicated individual eager to contribute to our warehouse operations. Your role will involve handling products-receiving, sorting, loading, and unloading-as well as executing various warehouse tasks. Proficiency with computers is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist delivery trucks
- Track and process shipments efficiently
- Label and tag merchandise accurately
- Package goods following our established protocols
- Manage and prepare orders for dispatch
- Maintain records of damaged or defective merchandise
- Utilize inventory and logistics software for data entry
- Ensure accurate processing, packaging, and shipping of orders
- Keep inventory organized and up-to-date
- Conduct quality checks on products and shipments
- Optimize warehouse space utilization
- Handle incoming stock and replenish inventory
- Fulfill and verify customer orders meticulously
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment
- Carry out additional warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Computer literacy is a must
- Valid driver's license
- Solid background in warehouse operations
- Proficiency in operating warehouse machinery (forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, etc.)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Collaborative spirit and strong organizational skills
- Physical ability to handle items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
