  • The position offers a schedule of 24 hours per week, with specific hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and the salary is competitive based on experience.

Assess, plan and deliver direct dental care and associated services to dental patients, utilizing PCHC established dental hygiene protocol and procedures.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Dental Hygiene.  
  • Active Local Anesthesia Licensure 
  • Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Rhode Island.  
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a community ambulatory dental clinic environment emphasizing Public Health strongly preferred.  

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Assess dental condition and needs of patient; uses patient screening procedures, to include medical history review, dental charting, and periodontal charting; takes patient vital signs as required.
  • Deliver direct patient care to patients as assigned, using established dental hygienist procedures; performs routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning, polishing, x-rays, application of sealants and fluorides, and related procedures.
  • Develop and implements individualized dental care plans for patients; performs patient education, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching under the supervision of a qualified dentist.

Tuesday: 8am-7pm
Wednesday: 8am-5pm
Saturday: 8am-2pm
