We’re currently seeking a dedicated Authorization Specialist to join our Centralized Scheduling Department at our Crestline location.

Position Overview

Contacts payers to request service authorization. Collects financial and/or demographic information from patients and clinical information from patient charts, orders, or providers.  

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous customer service experience 
• At least two years of experience in a healthcare pre-authorizations.
• Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes 

Preferred:

• Associate degree in healthcare or business administration and/or related coursework

• Successful completion of courses in medical terminology and human anatomy 

• Experience with EPIC information systems
