Experience:

Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
Mechanically related (Preferred)

Shifts availability:

2nd Shift - 3p to 11p (Preferred)
Night Shift (7P to 7A) (2-2-3)

Machine Operator Typical Tasks:

Operate a variety of production equipment - Glass Cutting Lines and Furnaces
Inspect & Pack (when not operating or to provide breaks)
5S activities
Other duties as assigned

Machine Operator Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be very mechanically inclined and comfortable working around and with large industrial equipment.
Ability to lead a team and provide direction to coworkers - coach and teach.
Willing to work overtime.
Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
Ability to effectively communicate

Machine Operator Physical Demands:

For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
There can be repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling up to 40 pounds.
In addition, this position requires the following abilities: standing, walking, lifting, reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting

Machine Operator Essential Requirements:

Ability to work the following shift: 8-12hr days Monday- Friday, Some Holidays, Weekends and Overtime as needed.
Good attendance is important to our team at Vitro. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a history of good attendance and who welcome overtime.
