About the Role:

As a Childcare Team Member, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children under your care. Your primary focus will be to support the developmental needs of children by facilitating age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills. You will collaborate closely with other team members and parents to ensure consistent communication and a cohesive approach to each child's well-being. This role requires attentiveness to children's physical and emotional needs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in a childcare, educational, or similar setting.
  • Basic knowledge of child development principles and safety protocols.
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet state childcare regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid for infants and children.
  • Formal training or coursework in early childhood education or child development.
  • Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Ability to speak a second language relevant to the community served.
  • Previous experience in a licensed childcare facility or educational institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive manner throughout the day.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment in all childcare areas.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily experiences.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent care practices and address any concerns promptly.
  • Monitor children’s health and well-being, reporting any issues or incidents according to policy.
  • Assist with meal and snack times, ensuring dietary needs and hygiene standards are met.
  • Support children in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behavior.
