1)   Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering problems.

2)   Perform in all phases of hardware design, development, integration/implementation, and analysis.

3)   Plan and conduct engineering feasibility studies for the design improvement modifications and implementation of advanced technologies.

4)   Develop standards and guidelines for tasks being performed including the generation of Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria (TACC) or the modification of such criteria in the Modified Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC).· 

5) Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs;

6) Discuss and solve complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub- contractors, suppliers and customers;

7) Ensure a product can be made again reliably with consistent performance in specified operating environments;

8) Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques;

9) Plan and design new production processes; produce details of specifications and outline designs;

10) Recommend modifications following prototype test results;

11) Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design;

12) Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints;

13) Work with other professionals, within and outside the engineering specialty.

Qualifications

Contractor personnel must have a minimum of two years’ experience in the design, development, and integration of aircraft hydraulic/ pneumatic/ mechanical systems, with two years of overseeing design and development of engineering projects. Additionally, the Contractor will have experience accomplishing airworthiness, loads, stress, and weight and balance analysis in support of systems integration.

·         Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.

·         OR, bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.

·         OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.

Successfully completed an undergraduate degree with a major in engineering from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s) for the degree requirements of the position (e.g., electrical, mechanical, aerospace). Degrees in engineering technology are not considered to be qualifying for these positions.
