Job Description:

The Process Operator Plant 1 will safely and efficiently operate the leaching circuits and systems in support of process operations. Comply with State and Federal safety and environmental regulations and SSR Mining policies and procedures.

Day to Day:

  • Perform all Tech 1 duties proficiently.

  • Employees will perform other duties as directed and needed by the company to ensure optimal safe operation.

  • Assist plant operators in basic plant operations with assistance.

  • Able to recognize equipment or systems operating outside normal ranges.

  • Only operate equipment or systems for which training has been provided.

  • Perform all pre-shift, pre-op and workplace inspections as required.

  • Communicate all pertinent information during shift as required.

  • Follow good housekeeping practices.

  • Complete all necessary paperwork in a complete and timely manner.

  • The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Is This You?

  • 0–1 years of previous plant operations or equivalent experience

  • Experience in chemical handling preferred but not required

  • Experience with HMI, PLC, or other similar control systems preferred but not required

  • Mobile equipment experience preferred but not required

  • Must be trained and pass the circuit test for Process Operations H-5 Circuit plus one additional circuit within 60 days of hire date (refer to the Line of Progression system for details)

  • Equivalent experience considered for external candidates

Working Conditions & Location:

  • Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations.

  • Weather conditions can and do change frequently and can become severe at times.

  • Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions / elevation.

  • Arrive at work site with appropriate gear suitable for weather conditions.

  • Able to work as a productive member of a team.
