A Day in the Life of a Financial AdvisorThe Financial Advisor role centers on assisting uninsured or underinsured patients by securing insurance coverage or charity care, enhancing patient access to medical services. This position requires interaction with various stakeholders including government agencies, insurance companies, and directly with patients to coordinate benefits and manage medical bill payments. Responsibilities extend to setting up prepayment plans for significant medical procedures and handling sensitive financial information with discretion. The role demands a high level of customer service to ensure patient satisfaction and contribute to the facility's broader financial goals. Work may involve rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the healthcare needs of the community.
