If you're looking for a career where your work truly matters, we invite you to join us at CRMC and be part of something bigger.   A Day in the Life of a Nurse Manager Emergency Department The Emergency Department Manager provides operational leadership and clinical oversight for the Emergency Department services, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care in a rural critical access hospital. This role oversees staffing, performance management, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, budgeting support, and department operations while promoting evidence-based practice and continuous clinical excellence. The position requires balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, responding to operational challenges, maintaining regulatory readiness, and supporting staff through change and complex patient care situations. Success depends on close collaboration with Nursing Directors, charge nurses, physicians, interdisciplinary leaders, and support departments to improve patient flow, staff development, patient satisfaction, and organizational performance. This is a primarily leadership-focused position with regular unit rounding, staff coaching, project participation, and responsibility for department operations, including serving as the department leader in the absence of the Nursing Directors.   About the Emergency Room Department  Rural Emergency Care, Real Impact In the Emergency Room at CRMC, we see it all — from critical traumas that demand split-second decisions to more routine concerns that simply can’t wait until Monday. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
