Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, formulating nursing diagnoses, and developing tailored care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, which are regularly updated based on the patient's evolving condition. Critical care nurses play a pivotal role in communicating patient changes to physicians promptly and participating in continuous professional development to stay current with ICU standards.
