Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, formulating nursing diagnoses, and developing tailored care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, which are regularly updated based on the patient's evolving condition. Critical care nurses play a pivotal role in communicating patient changes to physicians promptly and participating in continuous professional development to stay current with ICU standards. Critical thinking skills Effective communication Leadership abilities Evidence-based practice knowledge Adaptability in dynamic environments Compassionate patient advocate QualificationsEducation and Experience Required American Heart Association ACLS within 4 months of hire American Heart Association BLS within 30 days of hire PALS within 1 year of hire Minimum of two years of recent ICU experience or complete a hospital designated critical care course within six month of hire Trauma training that meets state approved criteria within one year of hire Current Minnesota RN license Preferred A minimum of 2 years prior Critical Care experience   Compensation and Benefits The pay range is listed above.
