Summary Description


The VP of Credit Administration is responsible for managing the analytical group within Credit Administration along with approving loans up to the assigned lending limit for various Regions. The VP of Credit Administration will support lenders in the field with proper loan structure along with going on calls with lenders as needed. This position will also be responsible for mentoring Analysts and Commercial Banking Associates as they grow in their careers.


Essential Functions

  • Manages Credit Analysts and Commercial Banking Associates
  • Develops standards and procedures to assure a high level of productivity, quality and service
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, evaluating, coaching and developing employees
  • Tracks and follows up on financial statements, loan structures and interpretation of credit policies
  • Reviews credit memos and loan write-ups
  • Calls on customers with Loan Officers
  • Provides second level credit authority


Position Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting, finance or management
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • 5 - 7 years experience as a Credit Analyst and/or equivalent preferred
  • 3 - 5 years management experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of current lending and loan review regulations and banking regulations, procedures and operations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements

  • Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • Typically the employee may sit to perform the work. However there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
