Job DetailsJob Location: Sheridan, AR 72150Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolJob Shift: 1st Shift - DayJob Category: Skilled Labor - TradesThe Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating large machinery such as front-end loaders, bulldozers, track hoes, service trucks, motor graders and water trucks to move earth, materials, or perform tasks like digging, grading, and lifting. Additionally, this position performs routine maintenance checks, reports any mechanical issues, and coordinates with team members to complete tasks according to project specifications. Reports to Plant Manager.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES Heavy Equipment Operation Safely operates various types of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, track hoes, backhoes, front end loaders, and motor graders. Uses equipment to clear land, level ground, dig trenches, and move materials in preparation for construction or other projects. Fill Hoppers, maintain storage bins, roads, berms, etc. Safety and Maintenance Checks the condition of equipment and vehicles before operation, including tires, fluids, safety features, and any necessary attachments. Performs safety checklist required by the company and submit for approval. Conducts minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and vehicles, including changing filters, checking oil, and cleaning, to ensure safe and efficient operation. Identifies and reports any major mechanical problems or malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance personnel for repairs. Adheres to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), following proper operating procedures, and maintaining a safe working environment. Cleans under conveyor belts to ensure safe operation. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties as assigned.     Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. There are no additional certifications required for this position. 2 to 4 years of related experience in construction and/or mining. Awareness Listening Time Management Detail Oriented
